Information
on the Independence 1 Mile Bay Swim has been posted in the
Events section of the website. This information is posted
because many swimmers and parents have indicated a desire that take
part in this race again. Last year we had a very nice sized
group attend and I have heard there is talk of a BBQ afterward this
year.
This
event is open to anyone...even swimmers who are not registered with
USA Swimming, so feel free to invite your friends from your high
school and summer league teams.
We wil
not have practices at GCIT on this evening so that anyone who is
interested can participate. You DO NOT have to be registered
for the summer season to take part in this event or any Open Water
events. Also, you can attend any Open Water event you can
find if you are interested in doing so. Hope to see everyone
in Sommers Point!
Also,
I have posted information on Open Water Races (as well as some
running races, triathlons, and biathlons) in the "Events" section
on the website. Just run your mouse over the title "Events"
on the top menu bar and select "Open Water 2010" from the drop down
menu.
